Healthy New Yorker was granted the privilege of helping with the promotion of an incredible event here in Midtown Manhattan on October 12th 2019. Over the course of almost ten hours, filmmakers, artists, activists, musicians, and creatives of all sorts, from all over the U.S., came together to view 22 films and celebrate content that sheds light on some very pressing social issues.
It took two forces of nature to join together and create an event with such an impact. Chicago’s own Todd Belcore and ChangeFest NYC’s Director, Andra Roxana Stanciu, these two bonafide change makers are responsible for developing an incredibly welcoming atmosphere for all in attendance to experience a quality event and build a community of activists at Manhattan’s very own BAZA Studio. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than myself. Todd, thank you for your advice, your hospitality, the introductions to your network, and your unwavering support for all that Healthy New Yorker stands for. Andra, thank you for bringing me along on your adventures and for being a constant source of support and inspiration. I look forward to what will come from events like ChangeFest and what it means for the city of New York!
